Low FODMAP Herb and Fruit Water Infusions

Updated: May 18

We all know how important it is to stay hydrated...Not only does water keep organs like our kidneys functioning properly, being well hydrated keeps us looking and feeling great!

It can be hard to drink as much as we should, especially when so many beverages for sale are out of bounds for those of us with allergies or food intolerance.

Here are some infused water recipes. I hope they will spark your imagination and creativity!

In addition to using fruit to infuse your water, why not try adding herbs?

Lavender

Lavender goes very well with strawberries and blueberries. Add one dried sprig to your water infusion. Lavender has quite a strong aroma and taste, so you do not have to infuse this herb for long.

Spearmint

Spearmint gives a nice fresh zing to any water it is added to. It goes well with strawberries and pomegranate. A mellow fruity drink. If you like more of a sour kick, you could add some sliced lime.

Lemongrass and Ginger

Elevates the classic cucumber and lemon water mix giving a bit of warmth and spicy. Tastes so good when served very cold!
